Sears, Warren Edward
of Portage, Michigan Passed away Thursday, October 4, 2012. Age 86 years. Warren was born in Kalamazoo on November 16, 1925, the son of the late Arthur and Alma Smith Sears. He served with the United States Marine Corp during World War II, where he worked as a mechanic on F-40 Corsair airplanes. He was actively involved with the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Schoolcraft and the V.F.W. Post #5855 and enjoyed woodworking. Surviving are his beloved, Frieda Smith; three children, Ronald Cindy Sears of Scotts, Gary Sears of Hollywood, CA and Keith Rochelle Sears of Lubbock, TX; Frieda's children, Gary Davies of Kalamazoo, Vicki Davies of Bozeman, MT and Christine Brownell of Kalamazoo; six grandchildren; one brother, Douglas Sue Sears of Jacksonville, Fl; one sister, Jean Mease of Lakeland, FL; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Warren was preceded in death by his sister, Myrtle Dornak. A committal service will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI.
