HOPWOOD, Virgil A., Sr.
Of Kalamazoo Died December 1, 2012 at the age of 82. He was born May 24, 1930 in Springfield, IL to the late Charles and Bernice Irwin Hopwood. He was united in marriage to Constance Miller on December 27, 1968, who survives. He enjoyed spending summers at Jones Lake campground fishing and spending time with family, friends, his grandchildren, and his special great-granddaughter, Tara. Also surviving Virgil, are his children, Patricia Miller of Argos, IN, Virgil Carol Hopwood, Jr., of Scotts, Cindy Paul Thorpe of Argos, IN, Nancy Terry Faucett of NC and Tracy Hopwood of Kalamazoo; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Donald Hopwood of Kendall, MI; sister, Wanda Hanes of McLean, IL; and several nieces and nephews. Also preceding Virgil in death were 1 brother and 1 sister. Cremation has taken place. No visitation or services are scheduled. Arrangements by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. It is requested any memorials be directed to the family.
