Portage, MI Passed away peacefully Thursday morning March 31, 2011 at Rose Arbor. Viola was born December 9, 1915 in Piggott, Arkansas a daughter of Ernest and Etta Nettles Watson. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident for over 50 years. Viola was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Frederick W. Seeger on March 29, 1982; 6 children, Jerral Seeger, Okaline Moore, Warner Seeger, Carolyn McCracken, David Seeger, and an infant son; 2 daughters-in-law, Alison and Nancy; a grandson, Frederick; a great-grandson, Logan; and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by 2 children, Carmeleta Walter Von Ehr of Elkhart, IN and Fred Linda Seeger of Parchment; 17 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Wadley of Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 1 o?clock Tuesday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th St. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Private interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Rose Arbor Hospice or Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan. www.langelands.com . 343-1508.
