of Kalamazoo Passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2011 in Kalamazoo. Viola was born in Cleveland, OH, the daughter of L. Joseph and Elizabeth Spisak Bence and had lived in Elyria, OH before moving to Kalamazoo several years ago. She was preceded in death by her husband, Julius Edwards in 1983. Viola is survived by her daughters, Mary Vowell and Joanne Paul Rehkopf Miller all of Kalamazoo; and her grandchildren, Genevieve & Janine Miller and Julius Vowell. Graveside services will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM in the Brookdale Cemetery, Oberlin Road, Elyria, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Kairos Dwelling of Kalamazoo or the Kalamazoo Nature Center. Arrangements entrusted to Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., Kalamazoo.
