Portage Victoria went to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 18, 2010, after coping with Multiple Sclerosis and succumbing to cancer. She was born June 16, 1943, in Kalamazoo, MI, the daughter of Roman S. and Kathryn Kovach Jasiak and had been a lifelong area resident. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church and served as president of the Resident Council at Tendercare of Portage. Victoria was preceded in death by her mother in 1944. Surviving are: four children and their spouses, Kenneth Deborah Popp, II of Portage, David April Popp of Hudsonville, Lauriann Richard Ogrizovich of Schoolcraft and Robert Jennifer Popp of Portage; four grandchildren, Trey, Brandon, Mallory and Keegan Popp, and her former husband, Kenneth Popp of Lawton. Visitation will be held 2-4 & 6-8 pm Thursday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 Friday morning at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 1150 W. Centre Ave., with Fr. Chris Ankley, presider. Burial will take place in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Memorials should be directed to St. Catherine of Siena Church.
