Kimmel, Mr. Victor M. Paw Paw Passed away Sunday morning, September 23, 2007 at his home. Mr. Kimmel was born August 4, 1922 in Dansville, NY, the son of Victor M. and Sara Connor Kimmel and lived in Paw Paw for about 60 years. He was a graduate of Notre Dame University and attended Cornell University Law School. Victor served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as a 1st Lt. Navigation Officer. He owned and operated the Paw Paw Canning Company which became Musselman?s and now is Knouse Foods. He was later employed by Great Lake Concentrate Warner Vineyards until retirement. He was a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Paw Paw and was a member of the Ransom St. Investment Club. On November 25, 1947 he was married to the former Jane Burns, who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Ann Kimmel Stewart and her husband John Stewart of Paw Paw; and several nieces and nephews including a special nephew, John D. Burns of Kalamazoo. He also had two special caregivers, Sharon and Brielle. He was preceded in death by a brother, John Kimmel and a sister, Mary Louise Carlin. A funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary?s Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Robert Creagan, celebrant. Interment in St. Mary?s Cemetery. Friends may meet the family at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. where the Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Heart Assn. or the American Red Cross.
