Vern D. Hinton

HINTON, Vern D. Of Sherwood Formerly of Climax Mr. Hinton passed away Monday morning, April 23, 2007. He was born September 16, 1947, the youngest of 13 children to Henry and Julia Pelton Hinton. Surviving are his 2 children, Diane Hinton and Dewaine Hinton both of Sherwood; 2 grandchildren, Brittany and Rocky Whitfield; 3 sisters, Lois Langs, Joanne Heath, and Clara DeGram; 5 brothers, Wayne, Wesley, Floyd, Thomas and Henry J. Hinton; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are his parents; 2 sisters, Thelma Gilbert and Florence Takamato; and 2 brothers, Harry and Robert Hinton. Funeral services for Mr. Hinton will be at 11:00 AM on Friday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Climax Chapel, 205 E. Maple Street. Interment will follow in Leroy Congregational Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 10-11 AM on Friday morning at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to a charity of one?s choice.
