Verlina Jennie Cole

Cole, Verlina Jennie of Comstock, Michigan Passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at the Laurels of Galesburg. Age 92 years. She was born in Centreville, MI on October 15, 1919, the daughter of the late Barney and Verlina Fowler Bickle. She was a member of Comstock United Methodist Church and enjoyed teaching Sunday school. Verlina was a member and volunteer with the Comstock Community Center and also volunteered for Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, shopping and traveling and will be remembered by everyone for her cooking. She was married to Donald F. Cole on November 26, 1937; he preceded her in death on December 14, 2005. Surviving are her son, Terry J. Cole of Shelbyville; her daughter, Cheryl J. James Werner of Kalamazoo; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; her daughter-in-law, Onnaleah Cole of Three Rivers; and her sister-in-law, Betty Bickle of Centreville. She was preceded in death by three sons, Donald G. Cole, Craig D. Cole and Rodney L. Cole and two brothers, Dan Bickle and Gene Bickle. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Highway, where a memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Tim Hoult will officiate with burial of cremated remains in Mt.
