VISSCHER, Trientje Trena
of Kalamazoo Died Thursday, January 28, 2010, at Life Care Center of Plainwell. Trena was born December 21, 1926, in Kalamazoo, daughter of John and Elizabeth VanHamersveld Visscher and was a lifelong resident of the Kalamazoo area. Trena was a member of Bethany Reformed Church. She is survived by 2 sisters, Janet Nathan Baylor of Bloomingdale and Ralphine Chilla of Kalamazoo; also surviving are nieces and nephews, including Ronald Mary Jane Baylor, Judy Chilla, Dan Sally Chilla, of Kalamazoo; Nathan Brenda Baylor of Bangor; David Elizabeth Baylor of Grand Junction; Tim Joan Baylor of Niles; Mary Andrew Potts of Bloomingdale; Jerry Jane Chilla, of Lebanon, Oregon. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 South Burdick Street. Memorial contributions in Trena's memory may be made to the Kalamazoo Christian Schools. Although her physical limitations prevented Trena from ever walking on this earth, she asked several years ago for white slippers to wear on her feet when she finally went to meet Jesus.
