Trena Triemstra

TRIEMSTRA, Trena
of Portage Trena Nap Triemstra went to be with the Lord October 23, 2010 while at home with her family by her side. She was born February 27, 1921 in Kalamazoo, Michigan the daughter of Steven and Nellie Maas Nap and had been an area lifelong resident. Trena was a member of, Heritage CRC and a former member of 2nd and 1st CRC. She worked at Brigg's Salon as a cosmetologist. On March 7, 1944 she was united in marriage to Henry Triemstra. She was preceded in death by her husband Henry in 2006 and a sister, Grace Vonk in 2009. Trena is survived by 6 children, James Triemstra of Portage, Carol Triemstra of Athens, Robert Triemstra of Kalamazoo, Don Jane Triemstra of Galesburg, Stan Dawn Triemstra of Galesburg, Brenda Dave Kingsley of Portage. 12 Grandchildren, Stephanie Christopher Gilchrist, Steven Kim Triemstra, Hope Scott Broxholm, Ken Triemstra, Melissa Jeff Johnson, Brian fiancé Kat Goris Kingsley, Nathan, Kyle, and Sarah Triemstra, Eric, Adam, and Michael Kumor, and 4 Great Grandchildren with 2 more expected in 2011. A sister Nellie Grosser, also survives her as well as many nieces and nephews. Family will greet friends on Tuesday from 4 - 7:00 o'clock at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., where services will take place on Wednesday at 11:00 o'clock. Burial will follow at Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Southwest Michigan, Heritage Christian Academy or a charity of one's choice.
