Trena DeLoof

DE LOOF, Trena Portage Trena DeLoof went to be with her Lord on January 17, 2007 at home in Portage, MI. Trena was born November 21, 1910 in Highland, MI, the daughter of Bert and Trena Lindemulder Bloemsma, and came to Portage in her youth. She was married to Marcus DeLoof for 55 years, working in the home and business. Marcus died April 3, 1992. She was a member of the Milwood Christian Reformed Church. Trena?s two surviving children are Melvin Linda DeLoof of Lawton and Lorene Ronald Lanting of Chino Hills, CA. Also surviving are a brother, Paul Lois Agema of Portage; a special niece and her husband, Pat and Robert Gernaat; grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons, James Bea, who survives DeLoof and Bernard Bonnie, who survives DeLoof and one daughter Catherine Frank, who survives Zwart; daughter-in-law, Nellie DeLoof; three sisters Lena DeLoof, Violet Johnson and Mary Skinner and one brother, Harm Bloemsma. She is safe in the arms of Jesus. Private burial will be held at Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery followed by a memorial service at 1:00 o?clock Saturday at the Milwood Christian Reformed Church, 3306 Lovers Lane with the Rev. Loren Kotman and the Rev. Steven DeLoof officiating. Friends may meet the family Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions in Trena?s memory may be made to the Kalamazoo Christian School Association.
