Torradj Kehyari

Torradj Kehyari “T.J.” passed away at Ascension Borgess Hospital on Friday, October 20, 2023, after a long illness. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was born March 1, 1947 in Saghez, Iran the son of the late Aminollah and Irandought Kehyari.  T.J. came to the United States for study in March 1976.  He graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering.  His career was mainly working as a manager in various restaurants and also at Borgess and Bronson hospitals in food services.  On July 7, 1978, he married Mary Lidster who survives him.  Also surviving are his children, Kristina and Zachary Kehyari of Kalamazoo, and Rachel (Jeff) Atkinson of Pfugerville, Texas;  grandchildren, Leo, Charlie, Henry and Nora Atkinson of Pfugerville, Texas; Rachel's mother, Vikki Kobza of Grand Rapids; brother, Tahmoures (Jennifer) Kehyari of Howard City, Michigan; sisters, Leda and Shalah of Iran; sister-in-law, Mary Goriesky; special aunt, Zia Ebrahimi and her daughters, Ziba and Asieh of Virginia as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant twin brother, Iraj Kehyari; brother,Teymour Kehyari; sister,Sheda Kehyari; and grandson, Gregory Atkinson. Private Funeral Services will be held. Memorial donations may be directed to the charity of your choice, in memory of Torradj Kehyari.
