Tom Lewis Aldrich, age 72 of Kalamazoo formerly of Battle Creek, died on January 23, 2025. He was born on May 8, 1952, in Battle Creek, Michigan, the son of Dorsene Benjamin and Alta Louise (Barber) Aldrich. Tom graduated from high school in Battle Creek before enlisting in the U.S. Navy. During his career in the U.S. Navy, he was stationed in Mississippi, Hawaii, Virginia Beach, and Texas. He retired as an aviation storekeeper in the Navy and returned to Michigan. On July 18, 1986, he married Christine Sehy. They traveled to Naval Stations together and enjoyed the Navy life. Upon his return to Kalamazoo, he began work at Unifab. Christine and Tom were members of Zion Lutheran Church. He enjoyed visiting the local VFWs and the VA Services office. Tom loved woodworking and watching movies. He cherished his life with his beloved wife Christine and their two cats. Tom and Christine spent 38 years sharing a beautiful life together. 

His family includes his wife Christine Aldrich and several nieces and nephews and his church family. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers and sisters: Robert Aldrich, Bonnie Cowns, James Cook, Mary Aldrich, and Andy Aldrich. 

A graveside service with military honors will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta with Pastor Mark Couch officiating.
