Vicksburg, Michigan Died Monday morning August 10, 2009 at his residence. Tim was born June 19, 1958 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a son of Peter and Midge Engwis Whipple. He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed as a carpenter with Local #525 for 22 years. On July 30, 2003, he was united in marriage to Michele E. Cox Whipple who survives. Also surviving, 3 children, Jared Katie Anderson of Indianapolis, IN, Justin Michelle Rhea of Vicksburg, and Joshua Rhea of Grand Rapids; 3 grandchildren, Adrien Harris, Cailyn Rhea, and Maxwell Rhea; his mother, Midge Ronald Tabor of Kalamazoo; his father, Peter Judy Whipple of East Leroy, MI; 2 brothers, David Whipple of Scotts and Todd Lisa Tabor of Scotts; a sister, Nancy Ron Meyer of Portage; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be held 11 o'clock Friday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. Visitation will be 2-4:30 and 6-8pm Thursday. Private burial will take place in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan or the West Michigan Cancer Center. www.langelands.com . 343-1508.
