Kalamazoo Thomas died Monday, May 10, 2010, in Kalamazoo, MI. He was born June 10, 1947, in Flint, MI, a son of Stanley and Lenore Link Wojciechowski and had been a Kalamazoo area resident for most of his life. Thomas served in the US Coast Guard from 1966 to 1970 before being honorably discharged. He was graduated from Western Michigan University after earning his MBA and worked as a sales marketer for 30 years. Thomas was preceded in death by his mother in April of 2005. Surviving are: best friend and companion, Dori Rey; two daughters, Stacy Vallier and Kelly Steve Hawkins; five grandchildren, Michael, Kayla, Nicklas and Kali Vallier and Treyton Hanna; father, Stanley; two sisters, Carol Len Koby and Kathleen Duane Niemi; a niece, Penny David Hatz; 2 nephews, Donald Cathy Schlamb and Matthew Jennifer Schlamb and ex-wife, Sue Parsons-Peck. Family and friends will gather for visitation on Thursday from 5 to 8 pm at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. Private interment will be held Friday in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Thomas's family invites you to join them at Big Deal's Sports Bar, 335 N. Drake Rd, at 2:00 Friday afternoon for food and drinks to celebrate and toast his life.
