WILSON, Thomas Eugene Of Kalamazoo Passed away Friday evening December 22, 2006. Tom was born February 5, 1925 in Hague, Virginia, the son of Landon and Mellie Thompson Wilson. During WW II he served in the U.S. Navy from 1943-46 and has been a Kalamazoo area resident since 1959. He was employed as a custodian with Kalamazoo Public Schools for many years and in later years was employed with Langeland Family Funeral Homes. Tom was a kind and gentle man who loved to cook and was always helping others however he could. Surviving are his daughters, Odean Bass White of Towson, MD, Ida Vicari of Clovis, CA and Sharon Wilson of Baltimore, MD; 4 grandsons, Kevin Bass and Damien Bass of Baltimore, MD, Ramon Barboa of Savannah, GA, George Linzie of Marina, CA; 2 great-grandsons, Kevin Bass, Jr. and Ramon Barboa, V; brothers and sisters, Ella, Emma, William, Martha and Ralph; special cousins, Vernon and Jean Thompson, Eugene and Gladys Thompson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Louise; brothers and sisters, Mary, Walter, John, Virginia, Bessie and Beulah. Visitation will be on Friday, December 29 from 1-2 pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street where Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm Friday with Rev. Timothy Ezell officiating.
