SULLIVAN, Thomas F.
Portage, MI and Winter Haven, FL Passed away Monday, November 15, 2010. Tom was born December 21, 1931 in Glen Cove, NY, a son of John and Mary Finnegan Sullivan and has lived in the Portage area for many years. He had worked in the paper making industry for over 40 years and retired as a general manager. Tom was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church of Portage and also St. Matthew Church Catholic Church, in Winter Haven, FL, the Knights of Columbus and the BPOE. On April 12, 1956, he married Carolyn Coats, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Mary Ann Kurt Cox of Leaburg, OR, Jerry Katie Sullivan of Haymarket, VA, Jim Kathy Sullivan of Portage, Peg Dave Chase of Portage and Patrick Jennifer Sullivan of Seattle, WA; 10 grandchildren, Marley Cox, Michael and Alec Sullivan, Brian and Kate Sullivan, Adam and Tyler Chase and Abigail, Madeline & Finnian Sullivan. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00 AM in St. Catherine of Siena, 1150 W. Centre with Rev. Fr. Chris Ankley, presiding. Interment will take place in the Portage Central Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave., on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Memorials may be given to the Oblates of Mary Immaculate, Retirement Home, 486 Chandler St., Tewksbury, MA 01876 or St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church.
