Kalamazoo, MI Passed away Sunday, December 21, 2008. Tom was born July 20, 1929 in Washington, D. C. the son of Leslie and Rosa Crump and had lived in the Kalamazoo area for many years. He served his country during WW II in the United States Navy. Tom had been employed by the Fetzer Company in it's Muzak division for over 27 years, retiring as sales manager. He was an avid gun and camera enthusiast and loved playing tennis, softball and listening to opera music. He was best known for the countless hours that he volunteered to the Comstock Community Center, the Vaudevillian Auditorium Association of Comstock and the United Way. On July 21, 1948 he married Maxine Duke, who survives. Tom is also survived by their children, Randy Jodie Crump, OR, Ken Holly Crump, AZ and Kathie Meyle, Comstock; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; a sister, Sue Miller, FL; several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday at 1:00 PM in the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Highway. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 3-5 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Comstock Community Center or the United Way.
