COLE, Mr. Thomas H.
of Kalamazoo, Michigan Died Tuesday evening November 6, 2012. Thomas was born September 3, 1923 in Holland, Michigan a son of William and Jenny Bakker Cole. During WWII, he served in the U.S. Army. After his graduation from Ferris State University he began a career in Accounting, ultimately retiring from the City of Kalamazoo. Tom and his wife resided in Kalamazoo since 1948. They were members of the First Presbyterian Church and active community volunteers. Tom was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marilyn Cole on January 13, 2012; a sister, Mildred Cramer; and 2 brothers, Jessie and George Cole. He is survived by 2 children, Thomas Diana Cole III of Battle Creek and Nancy Matthew Rhodes of Plainsboro, NJ; 3 grandchildren, Leanne and David Cole and Jenny Rhodes; a sister, Ethel Dean Miller of Utah; a sister-in-law, Patricia Cole of Ft. Wayne, IN; and other extended family. A memorial service will be held 3 o'clock Saturday, November 17th at the First Presbyterian Church, 321 W. South St. Friends may meet the family from 4-7 pm Friday, November 16th and from 1-3 pm Saturday, November 17th at the church. Private interment will take place at a later time.
