Neal, Thelma E.
Of Kalamazoo, MI Loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed into the hands of Jesus on Friday, July 20, 2012. Age 98 years. Thelma was born February 8, 1914, the daughter of the late James H. and Nettie Beardsley Miller. She was married to Stanley W. Neal on October 3, 1932; he preceded her in death on November 14, 2000. Together they will walk hand in hand in the sunset again, up that golden path to our heavenly father, because he chooses the best for his flower garden. She volunteered for the American Cancer Society for over 10 years. Surviving are four children, Dolores Donald Cook of Kalamazoo, Eileen Marshall Graham of Delton, Diana Stratton of Kalamazoo and Phyllis Richard Garrett of Lowell; one daughter-in-law, Sally Neal of Allegan; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one sister, Doris Eddie Luedecking. She was preceded in death by her son, Stanley "Buck" Neal; six brothers and five sisters; and one granddaughter, Delora. There was no greater love for Thelma than God and family. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, July 26, 2012 from 2:00 - 4:00 & 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 27, 2012 at the funeral home. Scott Burdick will officiate with burial in East Cooper Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
