EAGER, Tessie M.
of Kalamazoo Passed away April 30, 2011 at her home with her family by her side. She was born December 18, 1924 in Kalamazoo, MI to the late Clyde and Tessie Santman Sherwood. Tessie was united in marriage on February 14, 1946 to the late Jack L. Eager, who preceded her in death on October 12, 1980. After her retirement from Neurosurgery of Kalamazoo, Tessie spent her time enjoying family, friends, reading and gardening. Surviving Tessie are her children, Sharon Richard Gregory and Debbie Hugh Chapman both of Kalamazoo; 4 grandchildren, Jason Gregory, Darrick Gregory, Darcie Ben Willson and Kelsey Brett Kiel; 1 great granddaughter, Tessie Jean Kiel; brothers, George Vi Sherwood and Clyde Dort Sherwood; and many nieces and nephews. Family will greet friends on Monday from 6-8PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., where a funeral service will take place, Tuesday at 2:00PM. Burial will follow at Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery.
