Taylor E. Grainger

GRAINGER, Taylor E. Mattawan Taylor was born August 14, 1992 in Kalamazoo, MI, the daughter of Robert and Karen Evans Grainger and passed away on May 15, 2007 after a lifelong battle with Congenital Heart Disease. She was an 8th grade student at Mattawan Middle School where she was involved with the Leadership Team, choir and intramural volleyball and was active with the Youth Group at Southridge Reformed Church. Taylor always had a huge smile on her face. She enjoyed being around people and loved babysitting and animals. She was very creative and loved doing arts and crafts. She was preceded in death by her grandfather Harry Evans. Surviving are her parents Robert and Karen Grainger of Mattawan; her brother Alex Grainger and her sister Lauren Grainger, both at home; grandparents, Ted and Trudy Grainger of Portage and Dorothy Evans of Portage; aunts and uncles, Lisa and Tom Schermerhorn of Traverse City, Lorrie and Steve Abdo of Portage, Julie Evans and Dan Martz of Portage and Martha Evans of Coconut Creek, FL; several loving cousins. Services will be held at 4:00 o?clock Friday at Southridge Reformed Church with the Rev. Brad VanGenderen officiating. Friends may meet the family on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. Memorial contributions in Taylor?s memory may be made to the Children?s Heart Fund, c/o Ellen Egan, 39 Hampton Hill Dr., Williamsville, NY 14221.
