Suzanne Marie Moorian, age 72, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at her residence. Suzanne was born June 4, 1946 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of wonderful loving parents; John and Laura (Nash) Van Dyke. Preceded in death by her parents, John and Laura Van Dyke; a brother, Roger Van Dyke, husband Pete Moorian and her loving Alaskan Malamute, Brutus and German Shepard, Bailey. Surviving are the most profound accomplishments of her life; her two sons, Michael Moorian of Mattawan and William Moorian; his wife Jolee, whom she adored and loved like a daughter and their son Benjamin, the light of her life, of Mattawan, brother John (Betty) Van Dyke, sister Lorraine McIntosh and her loving German Shepard and very best friend and companion Marli.

Suzanne loved music and loved to dance. Suzanne would always look forward to her monthly get-togethers with long-time friends. Suzanne had a deep love and compassion for animals and all of nature, especially the fawn she raised, her birds and chipmunk that always ate the bird food.

Suzanne retired from Western Michigan University after 24 years of service with Michigan Public Schools. Suzanne had a deep and unfailing devotion to her sons, daughter-in-law and grandson. They were her reason for living.

A memorial celebration of Suzanne's life will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday, November 20th at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street with Pastor James Dyke officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00AM Tuesday at the Westside Chapel and immediately following the service during a time of food and fellowship in the Langeland Reception Center. A private family burial will take place in Mattawan Maple Grove Cemetery at a later date. Memorials in Suzanne's memory may be directed to Pets Connect, P.O.
