Of Kalamazoo Passed away Monday morning, February 18, 2008 at the Rose Arbor Hospice Residence. Suzanne was born October 17, 1918 in Kalamazoo the daughter of Gerrit and Sinnie Gerlofs Diephuis. She was a life long member of Third Reformed Church where she was the organist for over 40 years. On July 17, 1941 she was united in marriage to Garrett H. DeHaan who preceded her in death on February 4, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and 3 brothers, Raymond, Floyd, and Peter Diephuis. Surviving are 3 children, Donald Darlene DeHaan of San Clemente, CA, Paul Patricia DeHaan of Kalamazoo, Barbara Timothy Liggett of Hickory Corners; 7 grandchildren, Scott Suzie Cross, Christina Cross, Michelle DeHaan Wil Snyder, Eric DeHaan, Zachary Misaeng Liggett, Benjamin Jessica Liggett, Susan Tom Steck; 3 great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Leah Cross, Maia Liggett; sisters and brothers in law, Nancy Hauser, Ruth Diephuis, John Helen DeHaan, Lawrence June DeHaan, Bert DeHaan; special cousin, Kay Van Hoe; a dear friend, Annetta Apotheker; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family expresses their thanks to Dr. Robert LeFevre for his knowledge, compassion and wisdom of knowing when to "let go, let God... " There will be no visitation and private family services will be held with private interment in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Rose Arbor Hospice Residence or the charity of your choice. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street.
