Susan Ann (Foote) Lewis

Susan Ann Lewis passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loved ones on September 8, 2023. Susan was born on August 27, 1954 in Three Rivers, MI the daughter of Harry Sr. and Edith (Lomas) Foote.

On March 26, 2004, Susan was united in marriage to her loving husband Steven Lewis. Also surviving are her children, Nichole Wheeler, Carmen (Jason) West, Robert, Jr. (Erin) Wheeler, Shawn (Heaven) Lewis, Keenan Lewis; grandchildren, Valerie (Clayton) Sharples, Baileigh (Matthew) Marshall, Cade West, Justin West, Karley Wheeler, Robert Wheeler III, Gavin Wheeler, Savannah Wheeler; great-grandchildren Navada, Emmet and Everett Sharples; brothers and sisters, Harry, Jr. ( Marge) Foote, Larry (Judy) Foote, Danny (Katie) Foote, John (Sandy) Foote, Jerry (Belinda) Foote, Linda (Tony) Britton, Sandy Whitmore; and many nieces and nephews.

Susan was an avid reader of historical romance novels and true-life crime stories. She was fascinated by the Kennedy family history. Susan had many passions which included, bingo, touring historical homes, watching the Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Lions, Nascar with her favorite driver Chase Elliott, local short track racing and camping.

Susan’s ultimate joy in life was the love she had for her family.  She enjoyed many family adventures. Among her favorite trips were Washington D.C, Pennsylvania, Cedar Point, Chicago and Lexington, KY. Susan also really enjoyed weekend, pajama slumber parties with her best friend/sister-in-law Belinda Foote. She loved the annual Luau parties, family gatherings, and her favorite time of year Thanksgiving and Christmas with her loved ones.

Friends may meet the family from 5:00-8:00pm Thursday, September 14 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, 3926 South 9th Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49009. Cremation will follow, and a private interment will be at a later date in Vicksburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
