Kalamazoo, Michigan Went home to be with her Lord Sunday morning June 28, 2009 following a lengthy battle with breast cancer. Susan was born May 2, 1954 in Bridgeport, Connecticut a daughter of Albert and Helen Gaynos Carey. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident since 1990 and was employed with Bowers Manufacturing for 18 years. Susan was preceded in death by her father, Albert Carey in 2004; and a brother, Peter Carey in 1981. She is survived by her loving companion, Ronald D. Berg of Kalamazoo; 2 sons, Jason Gray of Leavenworth, KS and Todd Harvey of Ft. Madison, IA; her mother, Helen Carey of Santa Rosa, CA; a brother, Albert Carey of Guerneville, CA; an uncle; and several nieces, nephew, cousins. A memorial service will be held 1 o'clock Thursday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Friends may meet the family 2-4 and 6-8pm Wednesday.
