Of Kalamazoo Passed away Thursday January 13, 2011. Steven was born November 1, 1994, in Kalamazoo the son of Ron Zuiderveen, Jr. and Nancy Harris Roorda. Steve attended the Woods Edge School and was always happy with a smile on his face. He was known as loving and affectionate to everyone he came in contact with. Steve especially enjoyed the time spent with his buddy Brian. Surviving are his parents, Nancy Brian Roorda, Ron Zuiderveen, Jr.; his sister, Lisa Zuiderveen; grandparents, Ron and Irene Zuiderveen, Mary Ellen Harris, Edward and Joannie Roorda; great-grandmother, Alice Zuiderveen; aunts and uncles, Rick Susan Zuiderveen, Amy Jeff Grupp, Donna Harris, Scott Kate Harris; and several cousins. Steve was preceded in death by his grandpa, Carl Harris; and great-grandmother, Henrietta Oosterbaan. A service to celebrate Steve's life will be held at 1:00 o'clock Monday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street, with Pastors Kevin Hart and Heather McDougal officiating. Friends may meet the family this evening from 5-8pm and from 12-1pm Monday at the Westside Chapel. Private interment will be at a later date.
