Kalamazoo, Michigan Died Tuesday evening June 24, 2008. Steven was born October 10, 1943 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a son of Everett and Evelyn Friend Williams. He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with Bowers Manufacturing for 17 years. He was also an avid fisherman. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Robert Williams. On July 3, 1998, he was united in marriage to Nancy Sue Dozeman Williams who survives. Also surviving, 5 children, Billy Kathy Williams of Mattawan, Kelly William Speck of Decatur, Julie George Sanchez of Mattawan, Jennifer Dwayne Cornish of Portage, and Chad Myers of Galesburg; 15 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; 5 brothers and 3 sisters, Ed Mary Williams and Chuck Jean Williams all of Kalamazoo, Barb Rex Overlander of Three Rivers, Ellen Corodan Lumbard and Betty Mendham all of Portage, and Mike Pam Williams, Jim Margaret Williams, and Butch Mary Williams all of Kalamazoo; 3 sisters-in-law, Dianna Day of Kalamazoo, Janet Cleland of Portage, and Norma Dozeman of Kalamazoo; 2 brothers-in-law, Ken Dozeman of Kalamazoo and Denny Debbie Dozeman of Comstock; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 10 o'clock Saturday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th St. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
