Steve Reule Wilson, age 72 of Portage, MI passed away on Thursday, November 28 peacefully in his sleep. He was born in Ann Arbor, MI on July 13, 1952 to the late Garver and Isabelle (Reule) Wilson. Steve graduated from Huron Highschool in Ann Arbor, moving on to Western Michigan University where he earned his bachelor's degree in mathematical studies in 1974. Following graduation, he found employment with the United States Postal Service. It was there during his time as a postal clerk that he met the love of his life, Susan, whom he married in 1986. Steve retired from the postal service with over 30 years of dedicated service.
Steve is survived by his wife, Susan Wilson; daughter, Stacey (Andrew) VanLeeuwen; step-son, Jeffrey (Sarah) Mannoia; step-daughter, Shelley (Brian) McKenzie; grandchildren: Olivia and Lochlan VanLeeuwen; Hannah and Joseph Mannoia; Madeline, Evelyn, Vivian and Lincoln McKenzie; brother, Jack Garver (Trisha) Wilson; many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place according to Steve's wishes and no formal services will be held. His cremated remains will be scattered along with his parents cremated remains privately at a later date.
