MARBLE, Stephen V.
of Galesburg Passed away November 14, 2008 at his residence. He was born April 4, 1950 in Kalamazoo, to the late Billie E. and Evelyn P. Butcher Marble. Steve was united in marriage on September 6, 1975, to the former Linda Sherman, who survives. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era, from March of 1969 until honorably discharged in February of 1971. Steve owned and operated Comstock Graphics for many years. He was a dedicated family man who enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing and he spent many hours remodeling projects for himself and others. Steve especially enjoyed being with his granddaughter, Alexiea. He spent many happy times with his friends and family. Also surviving Steve are his daughter, Jennifer Jason Blake and their daughter, Alexiea; brother, Donald Karen Marble; several nieces and nephews. No visitation is scheduled. Graveside services will take place at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, Friday November 21st at 10:00 o'clock. A reception will immediately follow at Galesburg Baptist Church, 10100 Shadow Ln., Galesburg. Arrangements were made by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street.
