Of Kalamazoo Passed away September 17, 2012 at the age of 62. He was born September 15, 1950 in Vicksburg, MI to Thomas and Margaret Oswalt Herman. Stephen's many interests included being an Eagle Scout in Troup 79, spending time outdoors, especially fishing and wildlife, and enjoying woodworking. Stephen was a graduate of Vicksburg High School and Western Michigan University. Surviving Stephen are his daughter, Stephanie Lottie; parents, Thomas Margaret Herman; sisters, Mary Jim Raatz and Susan Kevin Marcy; nieces, Emily Steven Mullin, Kaitlyn and Grace Marcy; nephew, Brian Marcy; grand niece & nephews, Ryley, Makennah and Jayke. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 21st at 11:00am at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 1628 East G Ave., Parchment, MI 49004, where the family will greet friends from 10 - 11:00 just prior to the services. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Plainwell, MI. Arrangements by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Memorials may be directed to the church.
