MILLER, Mr. Stanley A. Kalamazoo, MI Died Tuesday afternoon January 16, 2007. Stanley was born June 21, 1924 in Rome, Georgia a son of Amma and Lena Lanhan Miller. During WWII, he served with the U.S. Navy. He had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of his life and was employed with the Local Iron Workers #340 for 55 years before retiring. He was a longtime member of the Westwood Church of God. He also enjoyed racing stock cars and watching NASCAR events. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Larry Miller in 1948; 3 brothers, Lon, George, and John Miller; and a grandson, Andrew Zantello. On June 9, 1947, he was united in marriage to Alveria Shephard Miller who survives. Also surviving, 3 children, Brenda Dallas Collier of Kalamazoo, Randy Miller of Paw Paw, and Robin Mark Zantello of Kalamazoo; 9 grandchildren and spouses, Monique and David, Denise and Jim, Shelley and Steven, Kelly and Brad, Kari, Kaitlyn, Nicholas, Randall, and Kristie; 8 great-grandchildren; and several nieces. A memorial service will be held 1 o'clock Saturday at the Westwood Church of God, 811 Gorham Lane. Visitation will be 4-7pm Friday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th St. Private burial will take place at a later date.
