HAIST, Stanley
of Galesburg Passed away March 21, 2010 with his family at his side. He was born August 21, 1932 in Plainwell, MI to the late Stanley M. and Mildred Barker Haist. Stan was united in marriage on June 23, 1956 to the former Barbara Treesh, who survives. Also surviving Stan are his children, Leesa Charlie Chapman Haist and Treesa Haist, and his grandson, Christopher Haist all of Galesburg; sister, Mary Lee Hutchins; and brother, Paul Marcia Haist; brother-in-law, Don Morgan; and, sister-in-law, Rhoda Haist; and, close friend and neighbor, Lorence Bailey. Also preceding Stan in death were, sisters, Virginia, Maxine and Cathy; and brother, Don. Stan proudly served his country from 1950 to 1953 in the United States Air Force. Stan retired from Ronningen Research and Development in 1999, where he worked as a Tool & Dye maker. He loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed flower gardening and watching wildlife. A Graveside service will take place Friday, 2:00 o'clock, at Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, with military honors. Those wishing to attend are reminded to arrive at Ft. Custer no earlier than 1:45 and to meet in the cortege area. Arrangements are by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Galesburg Chapel, 145 W. Battle Creek St., Galesburg.
