BURLAND, Stanley E., Jr.
Of Portage, Michigan Passed away Tuesday afternoon, October 28, 2008. Stan was born August 4, 1992 in Kalamazoo the son of Stanley, Sr. and Jill Elwell Burland. Stan was a sophomore at Portage Northern High School where he loved playing football and lifting weights. He was a hard worker in everything he did and enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends. He is survived by his parents, Stanley Jill Burland; grandparents, Cheryl Melson, Jeannine Ralph Dinkel; his sisters, Courtney and Samantha Burland; half-brother, Josh Cole; a niece, Kassidee; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. A mass to celebrate Stan's life will be held at 11:00 o'clock Saturday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 936 Lake St. with Msgr. Mike Hazard, Celebrant. Interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Friends may meet the family on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street.
