Of Scotts Passed away Friday evening November 9, 2007. Sophie was born October 18, 1920 in Oshtemo the daughter of John and Lula Overacker Barrett and had been a lifelong resident in the Kalamazoo area. Sophie enjoyed crocheting; various other crafts; and volunteering with the Bronson Hospital Women?s Guild. On November 12, 1940 she was united in marriage to William Roebuck who preceded her in death on March 30, 1995. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers and 4 sisters. Surviving are her children, Charles Cherry Roebuck of Florida, David Doris Roebuck of Otsego, Barbara Esman of Holland, Jeanne Eyre of Scotts; 8 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; a brother Paul Ila Barrett of Portage; a step-sister, Lillian Ferry of Kalamazoo; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held 1:30 o?clock Friday at Ft. Custer National Cemetery meet in assembly area at 1:20.
