FRANC, Sophia Margaret "Margie"
of Kalamazoo Passed away September 7, 2011 at Rose Arbor. She was born July 3, 1932 in Chicago, IL to the late Daniel and Christy Campbell Robinson. She was united in marriage to Stanley F. Franc on September 1, 1950 for a loving 61 years together. Stanley survives. Surviving Margie are her children, Linda Swierbut of Grand Rapids, Cynthia Jeff Comer of Vicksburg, Colleen Ziegler of Kalamazoo, Daniel Franc of Otsego and Lisa David Combs of Lexington, KY; 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; sisters, Isabel Robert Olsen of Libertyville, IL and Christina Baker of Spokane, WA; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding Margie in death was an infant daughter, Collette. Family will greet friends Sunday from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 East Centre Ave. A funeral service will take place Monday, 10:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church of Portage, 1133 East Centre Ave. Interment will take place at Cedar Park Cemetery in Riverdale Calumet Park, IL. Memorials in Sophia's name may be directed to Rose Arbor Hospice Care or to the Alzheimer's Association.
