SORRELL, Shirley F.
of Kalamazoo Went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 7, 2011 at Bronson Hospital. Shirley was born May 27, 1942 in Middletown, OH, a daughter of Coleman and Dorothy Ohair Hudson. She was employed for several years in food service at various restaurants. Shirley was a member of Praise Baptist Church, volunteered at Alpha and Omega Ministries and was a pro-life activist. She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald Sorrell in 2003, by a grandson Joshua Coleman in 2005 and by a nephew Gary Slayton. Surviving are 3 children, Rev. Michael Beth Bowling, Delana Jeff Smith and Jeffry Diane Bowling; 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; 5 brothers, 2 sisters; many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, June13th at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. with her son, the Rev. Michael Bowling and her son/minister Jeffry Bowling officiating. Private interment in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Friends may meet the family on Monday from 9:30 until the time of service at 11 am.
