Portage, MI Died Saturday afternoon March 20, 2010 at her residence surrounded by her family. Shirley was born December 6, 1935 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a daughter of Franklin and Frances Hyatt Fox. She had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with Macy's Department Store for 12 years, retiring in 2007. Shirley was also a member of Milwood United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents. Shirley is survived by 4 children, Robin James Berg of Fayetteville, NC, Mike Carol Roberts of Kalamazoo, and Darlene and Dawn Roberts both of Portage; 2 grandchildren, Angela and Matthew; 4 great-grandchildren, Avery, Noah, Aubrey, and Jonah; and several cousins. Private graveside services will be held in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to the charity of your choice.
