Shirley I. Rench

Shirley Irene Rench passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at the age of 76. Shirley was born in Battle Creek, MI on July 7, 1947, to the late Charles L. and Sadie (Fitch) Olmstead. She married Dana A. Rench, Sr. on August 25, 1969, and together they shared 43 years of marriage until his death on May 16, 2012. Shirley had a heart of gold and was most happy when she had her family around her. She loved animals, especially dogs.

Shirley is survived by her sons, Dana (Eileen) Rench, Jr., Adam (Laura) Rench, Chad (Darcy) Rench; 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; siblings, Rodney Olmstead and Sandy Olmstead; and her beloved dog, Shadow. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant sister, Jeanie; and 3 brothers, Charlie, Denny, and Randy Olmstead.

A graveside service will take place on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society, in memory of Shirley.
