MARR, Shirley J.
Of Kalamazoo Shirley went home to be with her Lord and Savior early Friday morning, June 11, 2010 at Borgess Medical Center. She was born May 12, 1940 in Norton, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Roy Marr on July 11, 1975; father, Willard Thacker; mother, Thelma Hamilton Jones; and daughter, Terry Flores. Surviving are four children, Donald Debra Marr of Newaygo, Pamela Michael Hild of Cedar Springs, Donna Marr of Kalamazoo, and David Hallie Marr of Queen Creek, Arizona; son-in-law, Felix Flores; fourteen grandchildren, Stacie, Donny, Tracie, Candy, Jamie, Brandy, Adam, Munch, Jason, Jeremy, Russell, O.J., Felix III, and Jesse; seven brothers and sisters, Glenn Bruno Thacker, Willie Gayle Jones, Harold Jones, Allen Teresa Jones, Kathy Jones, Carolyn Eakins, and Stevie Jones; and close friend, Lester Cale. Funeral services for Shirley will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday June 15, 2010 at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., with Rev. James Dyke officiating. Visitation for will be on Monday June 14, 2010 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, any expression of memorial contributions may be donated to the family of Shirley Marr, c/o Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S.
