FRAKES, Shirley Ann
Of Kalamazoo Shirley passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2008. She was born March 14, 1933 in Holland, MI, the daughter of Ottis and Anna DeWitt Resseguie, and has been a longtime Kalamazoo resident. Shirley was a member of the Comstock VFW 6252 Auxiliary; was an avid bingo enthusiast and enjoyed interior decorating. On April 5, 1957, she was united in marriage to Richard A. Frakes who survives. Also surviving are a son, Terry Lee Frakes of Kalamazoo; two granddaughters, Jennifer Sam Ramnarine and Heather Paul Williams; great-grandchildren, Gillian, Cooper, Blake and Anthony; brother and sisters, Marla Jennings, Nancy Floyd Murray and Ronald Mara Resseguie; and several in-laws, nieces and nephews. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and brother, William Resseguie . The family will receive friends on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street where a Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday. A private family interment will be held in Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
