STIGER, Sheryl Diane
of Portage, Michigan Sheryl Diane Stiger 57 years young of Portage is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Sheryl passed away Monday, May 14, 2012, at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo following a short battle with cancer. She was born March 5, 1955, the daughter of John and Beverly Howard Pike, who both survive. On May 22, 1976, she was united in marriage to Ronald Scott Stiger, who preceded her in death. Among those surviving are her four children: John Stiger, Jason Sarah Stiger, Jennifer Zohaib Hassan Stiger, Jacob Cheryl Stiger. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren: Spencer, Beverly, Haylee, Niles, Tyler, Josiah, and Allison; 3 brothers: Stephen Rinda Pike, Joel Lynda Pike, Christopher Patty Pike; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and special friends. The most important of all her relationships was her relationship with her Lord Jesus Christ. She was a charter member of Berean Baptist Church in Portage and an employee of Kalamazoo County Government. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, May 17th at Berean Baptist Church in Portage. An "afterparty" luncheon will follow. A memorial marker will be in place at Mount Ever-Rest Cemetery in Kalamazoo, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bibles International or the Sheryl Stiger Estate Fund.
