Kalamazoo, MI Died Friday evening August 15, 2008. Sherman was born in 1928 in Elcho, Wisconsin a son of Robert and Emma Kramer. During the Korean Conflict he served with the U.S. Army. He had been a Kalamazoo area resident since 1960 and was employed with the Upjohn Company for 29 years before retiring. He was also a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church and St. Vincent DePaul Society. He was preceded in death by his father; his first wife, Ruth Kramer in 1976; and a brother, William. On January 1, 1990, he was united in marriage to Catherine L. Kramer who survives. Also surviving, 4 children, Marie Mark Johnson of Kalamazoo, Janet Kevin Boniface of Delton, John Laurie Kramer of Wausau, WI, and Karen Ed Oliver of Akron, OH; 7 grandchildren; his mother, Emma Kramer of Wisconsin; a sister, Margaret Kramer of Sun Prairie, WI, a brother, Gary Barbara Kramer of Portage; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 11 o'clock Wednesday at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 1150 W. Centre Ave. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the church. Private burial will take place at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the St. Vincent DePaul Society or the West Michigan Cancer Center.
