BLOOD, Shawn M.
Of Portage Passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at his residence. Shawn was born June 16, 1972 in Kalamazoo, MI, the son of Alan and Darlene Smoker Blood and was a lifelong resident of Portage. He graduated from Portage Central High School in 1991. Surviving are his father Alan Blood of Portage, his mother Darlene Max Hardy of Portage; his sister Aimee Jim Buggie of Portage; grandmothers, Ruth Slagg and Marge Probst and aunt Brenda Probst, all of Sturgis; nephews Jacob and Connor and a niece Chloe. Services will be held at 11:00 o'clock Monday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. with the Rev. James Dyke officiating. A luncheon will immediately follow the service at the Portage Moose Lodge, 9650 Portage Rd. Private interment in South Colon Cemetery. Friends may meet the family on Sunday from 2-6 pm at the funeral home. Donations in Shawn's memory may be made directly to the family to help with funeral expenses.
