KRAMER, Mrs. Sharon Sue Slater
Schoolcraft, MI God saw that she was getting tired and a cure was not to be, so He put His arms around her and He whispered "Come home with Me." With tearful eyes we watched her and saw her pass away; although we loved her dearly, we could not make her stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard-working hands at rest; God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best. Sharon died Thursday morning March 13, 2008. She was born November 5, 1944 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a daughter of Myrle and Zelda Upson Slater. She had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with the Upjohn-Pfizer Company for 25 years before retiring. She was preceded in death by her father, Myrle. On January 31, 1964, she was united in marriage to John R. Kramer who survives. Also surviving, 2 sons, Marc Kellie Kramer and Kevin Gwyneth Kramer all of Three Rivers; 5 grandchildren; Her mother, Zelda Coleman of Portage; a sister, Dolores Howard Wilcox of Texas Corners; 2 nieces; and several cousins. A memorial service will be held at 1 o'clock Thursday at Calvary Reformed Church, 7829 S. 5th Street. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the church. Private inurnment will be in Hope Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Cancer Treatment Centers of America via Gateway for Cancer Research, 1336 Basswood Road, Schaumburg, IL 60173.
