FORD, Sharon L.
Of Pine Lake Sharon passed away Friday morning, March 16, 2012 at her home. She was born February 19, 1939 in Plainwell, the daughter of the late Robert and Elma Petersen Nogle. Sharon taught spinning and weaving for over 35 years, enjoyed quilting and was a member of the Island City Quilters for many years. Surviving are her husband, Douglas L. Ford of Pine Lake; two children, Jeffrey R. Ford of Kalamazoo and Robin J. Burpee of Mendon; four grandchildren, Thomas Ford, Jesse Grace Ford, Seth Burpee and Cole Burpee. Sharon also shared her life and love with many close family members and friends she chose to hold as dear to her as family. Honoring Sharon's request, Sharon's remains have been donated to The University of Michigan Medical School for anatomical studies. There will be no visitation or service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Borgess Heart Center for Excellence, West Michigan Cancer Center, or Wings of Hope Hospice of Allegan Co.
