Kalamazoo Sharon Kay Cole died Sunday evening, April 12, 2009, at her home. She was born July 24, 1944, in Kalamazoo, MI, a daughter of Roger and Della Biby Bosenbark and had been a life long area resident. Sharon worked as a nurse at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Battle Creek for over 15 years. She was a member of Kalamazoo Missionary Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of Comstock VFW Post # 6252. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Pat Brizendine. Surviving are: three children, Kenny Dorff of Kalamazoo, Ronny Smeltzer of Galesburg and Tonya Macdonald of Kalamazoo; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Cheryl John Cook of Scotts and Linda Bosenbark of Kalamazoo; a special niece Lisa Brandon Black; and several more nieces and nephews. Services will be held 2:00 Thursday afternoon at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., with Pastor Ken Smeader of Kalamazoo Missionary Church, officiating. Interment in Mount Ever-Rest Memorial Park will follow services. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8pm at the funeral home.
