Plymouth Twp. Scott Michael Cook, a resident of Plymouth Township, Michigan, died suddenly June 26, in Pennsylvania. Scott was born September 14, 1951 to Bruce Gordon Cook and Grace A Cook Sluys in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Scott graduated from Kalamazoo Christian High School and attended KVCC and Western Michigan. Scott married Sharon Huskey on Jan. 19, 1979 and had 2 children, Robert J. Hall and Ryan Bruce Cook. He also has 3 grandchildren, Cheyenne, Rachel and Abigail. He has 1 sister, Lisa Farrar Calvin of Huntersville, NC and several nieces and nephews. Scott loved the Lord and his family. He was a carpenter at Airtech in Detroit, Michigan. A highlight of his career was working on the new Tiger Stadium and while working at the stadium, he met Al Kaline. As a youth, Scott was active in Milwood Little League and played on the Kalamazoo Christian Basketball, baseball and soccer teams. He was an avid supporter of the University of Michigan Teams. He always entertained his family and friends with a keen sense of humor and his sincere love of sports. He enjoyed gardening, which sprang from his rich Dutch heritage. He was preceded in death by his father Bruce. Memorials may be given to the Kalamazoo Christian School Association or the Humane Society. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 30, at 11:00 am at 2nd Reformed Church, 2323 Stadium Dr., Kalamazoo, Michigan. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, prior to the service.
