RANTZ, Mrs. Sarah J. VanStreain
Parchment, MI Sarah was born September 2, 1950 to Robert and Helen Kean VanStreain. She passed away October 19, 2010 after a courageous struggle with Parkinson Plus Disease. She was a graduate of Kalamazoo Central High and Kalamazoo Valley Community College. Before her illness Sarah was a Respiratory Therapist at Borgess Hospital. She was preceded in death by her father, brother, Terry and daughter, Kaylan. On November 2, 1991, Sarah was united in marriage to Wayne Rantz who survives. Also surviving, are her children Shannon Jameson, Stephanie Troy Estree, Sean Kim Estree and Shelly Ray Thompson; Sarah and Wayne's 11 special needs children, Jordan, Samantha, Julian, Ross, Sean, Steven, Andy, Joey, Austin, Haley and Markus; 9 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; her mother, Helen; 3 brothers, Robert, Kenneth, and Gary Mary VanStreain; a sister-in-law, Carol VanStreain; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held 11 o'clock Saturday at Haven Reformed Church, 5350 North Sprinkle Road. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the church. Private interment will be in Ft. Custer National Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan, Kalamazoo Gospel Mission, Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes, or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
