ZANTJER, Mrs. Ruth A.
of Kalamazoo, Michigan Died Monday morning July 1, 2013. Ruth was born March 22, 1926 in Battle Creek, Michigan a daughter of Pearlie and Thelma Terrell Hineline. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of her life and was a member of the Milwood Christian Reformed Church. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerrit Zantjer on March 13, 2000; 2 sisters, Beverly Cubitt and Doreen Nuyen. She is survived by 4 children, Norman Carol Zantjer of Omaha, NE, Thelma Westrate of Mattawan, Gary Zantjer of Kalamazoo, and Diane Ken Kopa of Kalamazoo; 6 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 1 o'clock Monday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Sunday at the chapel. Private interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the charity of your choice.
